Kylie On Skin And Hair Care, Healthy Food

Just read a kinda very interesting article on Kylie speaking about skin care, hair care and diet (just to make it clear - diet is the way of eating, not the way of starving to get skinnier ;) )

In a recent interview Kylie Minogue revealed the details of her beauty regime. One of the surprises was the singer's DIY (Do It Yourself ;) ) approach to skin care. Minogue says she can't be bothered with elaborate routines or exotic products. Instead, she puts her smooth skin down to her dedication to cleansing and toning.
"I'm pretty obsessive about sunblock and, at night, I use a really good moisturiser - I'm using a Nubo night cream at the moment. I can't remember the last time I went to bed without doing my routine but I keep things pretty simple - I hardly ever do face masks or have a facial," she told Company magazine.
Minogue is religious about removing all traces of her stage make-up whenever she has to wear it. However, in the morning she isn't so bothered.
"First thing in the morning, I splash my face with water to try and wake myself up. I don't actually cleanse in the morning because I do it really thoroughly at night," she explained. "I use Fresh Soy Face Cleanser, which is really gentle. I use it with a muslin cloth - it makes me feel extra clean when I've had to wear lots of make-up for work."

When it comes to hair care, Minogue says you have to be honest with hairstylists to avoid disasters. The pop icon admitted that she has sported some unflattering looks in the past and explained that some of them could have been avoided. The singer has advised people to tell their hairdressers when they're not happy with a cut or colour.
"I used to find it really awkward if someone was doing my hair or make-up and I didn't like it, but I've had loads of beauty disasters, so I've got better about being more assertive now," she says. "It's better to just be totally direct and say, 'What on earth have you done? Start again' That's what my sister would say."
But when she's doing her own styling, Minogue says she prefers to keep it simple.
"If I'm doing my hair myself, I find it's easiest just to put it in a bun, because it's simple and it suits me, I've got it down to a really fast art - I find if you spend too much time on it, it ends up looking worse" she said. (Oh, YES!!! So true!)

As for keeping svelte, Minogue said she has become addicted to Mediterranean fare since she started dating Spanish model Andres Velencoso.
"I normally have toast in the morning - pain Poilane, a French kind. I don't really eat white bread. I usually have my toast with some almond or cashew butter - if I had real butter, it would be goat's butter. Then I might have a bit of fruit (a kiwi or some berries), coffee, then another coffee!" she said. "For lunch I might have grilled fish with veggies and if Andres is in town, we tend to be a bit Spanish for dinner and have something like a piece of tuna on green salad. I've become addicted to Spanish cuisine now, because most of it's pretty healthy."
